A message from your Pastor...

The Life Group Ministry is a key ministry at Seaport Community Church. It's the way that we care for you and help you to become an active part of our church family. God desires for us to be "devoted to one another in love." Joining together in the intimacy of a home setting fosters personal involvement, spiritual growth and a sense of belonging to God's family. The Bible teaches clearly in Acts 2:46 that the early church met in homes as well as in the temple. Joining a Life Group will bring encouragement, loving care and discipleship into your life and the opportunity to excersize your spiritual gifs and to share Christ with your friends and family. It is my hope and prayer that each woman at Seaport Community Church will receive the wonderful benefits of belonging to a Life Group.

What is a LIFE Group?

A Life Group is a small group of people who meet every week in various homes or at the church. They are designed to allow times of worship, prayer, teaching, great discussion, food and fellowship. The meetings last 60 minutes plus whatever time is allotted for fellowship. The topic varies according to the interest of the particular group.

A Place of Care

You will be ministered to as an individual with love, support and encouragement. Belonging to a Life Group allows caring people to get to know you and make sure that your needs are met.

A Place for Friends

Small groups foster an intimate and relaxed atmosphere where you will make new friends. Even if you are timid, you will feel comfortable.

A Place of Growth

You will grow spiritually as you learn Biblical truths and participate in discussion relevant to your life. You will have the opportunity to exercise your spiritual gifts and you will learn to disciple others in the faith and become a leader.

A Place of Outreach

You will feel comfortable bringing your workmates, neighbors and relatives who have not yet experienced the life that Jesus Christ brings. The life groups meet corporately four times a year as the King's Daughter's Network. These events provide an exciting opportunity to promote connection with other women and provide a place to invite friends.
