Living Savior
Jesus lived an earthly life free from sin because we couldn’t. He died on the cross to pay for the sins of all humanity and remove the separation from God that sin causes. Today Jesus is actively drawing people to Himself with the free offer of forgiveness to anyone who will believe that He is who He says He is and trust Him.
Risen Lord
Jesus rose from the dead, showed Himself to eye-witnesses, and is alive today and at work through the Holy Spirit. Thomas, one of Jesus’ disciples, famously refused to believe that He had risen from the dead until he place his fingers in the holes in His hands from the crucifixion. Thomas, like the other apostles, became so convinced of the fact that Jesus rose from the dead that each died martyrs deaths professing the fact of the Resurrection.
Friend
Jesus is available to all who seek Him. He is the Prince of Peace; as such He asks us to cast our cares and anxieties on Him and to seek His direction for each area of our lives. He promises to never leave but to always lead us if we will follow. When we believe, He begins the process of transformation within us, making us more and more like Him, molding us and empowering us to reflect His hope and love in this world.
God
Jesus is, and has always been God (John 1.1-4). He came to Earth as God’s only born (begotten) Son to pay the price for our sins and open the door to the relationship with Himself that we were created for. This required Him to become fully human. He was tempted to sin as any other man would be. As such Jesus is not only God, but He is also able to understand our struggles and trials of life and is able to sustain us through them.
